34-YEAR OLD MAN APPEALS FOR MORE EFFORTS IN GBV FIGHT

A 34-year old man of Kitwe’s Kawama Compound is appealing to Psycho-social Counselors and the Clergy to come to his aid and help resolve his marital disputes.
Brighton Sakanya a father of one, in his emotional explanation to Flava Fm News said his relationship with the wife is hanging on a limpet as they no longer relate to one another intimately.
With scratches and scars on his face, he narrates that his wife has abruptly changed her behaviour and has resolved to divorce despite having a six-year old daughter.
Sakanya narrated that his wife has turned into a professional prostitute but has tried to keep her so that they raise the child together all his efforts to no avail.
He disclosed that he has lost his job because the wife used to frequent his work place to cause confusion describing her behaviour as pathetic and unfortunate and has appealed to the general public to do all they can to fight Gender Based violence.
Sakanya’s worst experience with the now mischievous wife is when she destroyed household properties including his clothes which she torn using a knife when he inquired why she is in the habit of leaving the child anyhow for a drinking spree with her friends.
The determined and vibrant Sakanya has since appealed for help in terms of being employed as a driver as he has a valid class C1 drivers’ to his daughter and achieve his ambitions.
Last year, Zambia recorded 22 thousand divorce cases as gender based violence cases keep rising every day.
