GOVERNMENT URGED TO PUT IN PLACE COVID MEASURES BEFORE SCHOOLS OPEN
Written by newsroom on January 7, 2022
The Opposition Leadership Movement has called on government to ensure that it plans ahead by putting in place all the necessary measures in Schools before they reopen on 24th January.
Party Media Director Tatila Tatila has told Flava FM News that the revelation that 300, 000 patients are under community management is a serious looming disaster which should be addressed.
And Mr. Tatila has demanded more efforts from the Presidential Advisor on COVID-19 and the Ministry of Health in combating the pandemic.
He notes that many people are getting infected from public places such as markets, bus stations and places of worship saying patients under community management are interacting with those who are not yet infected everyday and that government has no control on people’s movements.
Mr. Tatila has charged that there is not enough is being done in the fight against Covid saying if not careful; Zambia will be like South Africa and the United Kingdom with high number of cases.
He further charges that the country is in this situation because not much has been done regarding the fight against Covid and authorities failed to effect restrictions on domestic and international travel in November.
