NDEKE WARD COUNCILLOR URGES RESIDENTS TO BE VACCINATED

Ndeke Ward Councilor Davies Kasengele has called on residents in the area to take advantage of the Vaccination Drive that is currently being conducted by the Ministry of Health and get vaccinated.
Councillor Kasengele says there is need for residents to ensure that they are vaccinated.
He says the residents should take advantage of services being offered from various Health Centers, door to door vaccination and other strategic points within the ward.
The civic leader has appealed to the residents to ignore the myths as they are not factual calling for more sensitization from all stakeholders so that the myths associated with the Covid vaccines are dispelled.
The Ndeke Ward Councillor has observed that a healthy nation is key to any developmental agenda and that residents of Kitwe and the country at large should be fully involved in the mass vaccination campaign.
Meanwhile, Acting Copperbelt Provincial Health Director Dr. Charles Sakulanda says the public need to dispel all the myths and misconceptions associated with the COVID-19 vaccines because they are safe.
On 30th November the Ministry of Health rolled out a Mass COVID-19 vaccine campaign on the Copperbelt Province and has a target to vaccinate 95, 000 residents in Kitwe, 364, 491 on the Copperbelt and two million people across the country by 31st December 2021.
