LAW ENFORCEMENT AGENCIES URGED TO WORK PROFESSIONALLY

Written by on December 6, 2021

A Governance Activist has hailed President Hakainde Hichilema for retaining sanity and normalcy in the management of public funds.

Mr Masuzyo Nyirongo says the President’s governance system should be supported by all well meaning Zambians.

He says in the previous regime, there was too much misappropriation of public funds with impunity.

He is further urging the law enforcing agencies to do a professional work as the recovery crusade of stolen public assets is underway and that they should not wait for instructions from a political hand.

And Mr Nyirongo says the case of Konkola Copper Mines KCM Provisional liquidator Milingo Lungu should be handled professionally and that it should produce the preferred justice within six months.

He says failure to deliver justice within the six month period, residents on the Copperbelt will have no option but to protest adding that the damage that has been done on KCM is beyond measure.

On Friday, the Drug Enforcement Commission through its Anti-Money Laundering investigation unit arrested the Konkola Copper Mines PLC Provisional Liquidator Milingo Lungu for theft involving K17, 250,000 contrary to the Laws of Zambia.
