Opposition Golden Party of Zambia has strongly urged the new dawn government not to repeat the mistakes made under previous regimes.
Party President Jackson Silavwe says the selling of strategic economic programmes of the 90’s during the privatization process caused a lot of suffering for the people of Zambia.
He says President Hakainde Hichilema must walk his talk of generating home grown solutions for the country’s economic challenges.
The Golden Party Leader has strongly opposed the selling of Indeni Petroleum Refinery in Ndola stating that no country can develop by placing all its strategic assets in private hands.
Mr. Silavwe adds that Indeni cannot be revamped without selling it stressing that selling what he termed as the economic strategic asset is a wrong short term quick fix it measure with negative long term effects on the people.
Government last week placed Indeni Petroleum Refinery Company on care and maintenance.
