Tourism and Art Minister Rodney Sikumba has called on young men to immediately take advantage of community-based tourism and prove that they are real men ready to contribute to Zambia’s development.

Speaking when he officiated at the young men’s Mentorship Day organized by My Zambia my Responsibility and Diamond Equity at Harvest University yesterday, Mr Sikumba said youths can help provide authentic experiences in their localities to local or international tourists.

Mr Sikumba said it is the meaning of domestic tourism promotion and investment.

He says this could range from providing tours to help tourists experience the Real Africa, The Real Zambia to exposing them to the country’s cultural dances, handcrafts, music, Zambian food and drinks as well as Safari tours including game viewing.

And Harvest University Deputy Vice Chancellor Tresford Sikazwe said mischief and involvement in illicitly behaviour is not a true indication of the power of being a man calling on young men to position themselves, have a vision and build it up.
