The Examinations Council of Zambia says it has received with disappointment information that a named Pastor of a known Church in Kitwe was administering fake Grade 7 composite examination to learners at True Vine Community School.
ECZ Public Relations Manager Nicholas Nkhoma in a statement says ECZ condemns in strongest terms such acts and that it will work with all stakeholders to ensure that perpetrators of the scandal are brought to book.
The ECZ has further cautioned all Schools to strictly adhere to the provisions in the guidelines for the administration and management of examinations in Zambia, in the conduct for all assessments.
And ECZ has commended the Kitwe District Education Board Secretary DEBS for swiftly unearthing the scandal and taking.
The examining body has however assured the nation of its commitment to conduct examinations of comparable international standards, working with the Ministry of Education structures, Teacher Unions and other partners.
