FEASIBILITY STUDIES COMMENCE FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE KAKOMA-KAMBIMBA ROAD

Private Company Bridge Consortium has commenced feasibility studies for the construction of a one border post and upgrading of the Kakoma-Kambimba Road in Mwinilunga District of North western province.
The project will be undertaken under the Public Private Partnership with the Zambian government.
This came to light when Bridge Consortium Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Gayous Kambita paid a courtesy on acting Mwinilunga District Commissioner Kelvin Ndandanda.
He disclosed that the construction works are expected to commence next year once all the formalities are completed.
The project is aimed at linking Zambia and the Democratic Republic of Congo and that once completed, it will be of economic value to both countries.
The district administration is happy that the project which is a result of the Expo North-West Zambia in 2019 and is now coming to fruition adding that the district has been grappling with poor access to Kambimba border post due to the deplorable state of the road.
