Alliance for Democracy and Development ADD President Charles Milupi , has castigated FDD President Edith Nawakwi for stooping too low to start attacking a fellow opposition leader.
The ADD President who is also opposition UPND Alliance Chairperson, has told Flava FM News that with all the knowledge and experience that Ms. Nawakwi has, arising from her having served in various government ministries, she could have been helpful to the nation by addressing the many issues that the country is grappling with, like the depreciation of the kwacha, the national debt burden, high poverty and unemployment levels, as well as the high price of electricity among others.
He says it is unfortunate that Ms. Nawakwi has degraded herself and now trying to ensure that UPND President Hakainde Hichilema does not appear on the ballot paper.
And Mr. Milupi adds it is disappointing to see someone of Ms. Nawakwi’s caliber failing to articulate issues affecting the country, stressing even if she’s vying for the position of running mate to President Edgar Lungu, she needs to bring something of value to the table than ruining herself politically saying no one will take her seriously.
He said Ms. Nawakwi has failed the Zambian women who were looking up to her as one of the pacesetters of modern women in politics.
