UPND Chairman for Elections, Garry Nkombo says it is sad to see people continue voting for the Patriotic Front amidst economic hardships.
Hon. Nkombo who is also Mazabuka Central Member of Parliament , said in a society where people are comfortable with the bare minimum, it becomes difficult for such a society to change.
Mr Nkombo said this in an interview on Radio Phoenix today.
This follows the outcome of the Lukashya and Mwansabomwe Constituency by-elections where the Patriotic Front has scooped the two parliamentary seats.
Hon. Nkombo said people should always learn to vote on the basis of coming out of the shackles of poverty adding that in this economic situation, it is only the PF who are not complaining about the state of the economy as they have amassed wealth through corrupt activities and have patronized the inner circle of the executive and everyone else has been abandoned thereby subjecting people into adjective poverty .
Mr Nkombo has since challenged young people to redeem themselves form economic hardships in next years general elections and realize the importance of an alternative government.
