Popular Musician and youth activist Brian Bwembya has described the K30 million youth fund as a bribe meant to silence artists that are speaking out on various issues.
Mr Bwembya popularly known as B’Flow has pointed out and wondered why the announcement of the fund came just a few days after some artists participated in the protest to speak against the different views of poor governance.
B’Flow says the issues of young people have not been adequately addressed and that the concerns that have been raised have nothing to do with youths receiving handouts from Government but aimed at ending corruption, mismanagement and misappropriation of public funds among others.
He adds that the K30 million does not restore the shrinking freedom of speech in the country adding that the approach that the Government has taken should not be agreed with as many youths who are not artists will not benefit from the said fund.
