Kitwe Pastors’ Fellowship has urged parents and guardians in the district to take full responsibility of their children’s behaviour ahead of Independence Day activities.
Chairperson of the Pastors’ Fellowship in Kitwe Bishop Raddy Lewila has described as unfortunate the behaviour exhibited by youths during last year’s independence celebrations saying the situation should not be allowed to continue.
Bishop Lewila says it is sad seeing a child as young as 13 being found drunk.
He says it is the role of every parent and guardian to ensure they are aware of places their children go to and activities they engage in as opposed to letting them anyhow.
Bishop Lewila says Zambia being a country embracing Christian values, it is incumbent upon elders to groom young people into responsible citizens so that their future is built on firm foundation.
