Police in Lusaka have picked up an amputated left leg as they were patrolling Garden site three area near the sewer ponds in Garden Compound.
Police Spokesperson Esther Katongo has stated in an interview that the lower limb leg was found with some fresh blood and part of it was bandaged.
Ms Katongo has further stated that a black plastic bag was found next to the same amputated leg.
She says it is being suspected that the discovered leg could have been wrapped on the same polythen after amputation and later disposed off.
Ms Katongo has stated that the leg has since been taken to UTH mortuary for custody while investigations have been instituted to establish where it could have come from.
