The United Party for National Development (UPND) Youths on the Copperbelt are saddened with the alleged continued sidelining of local contractors in the Construction Sector.
Party Provincial Youth Deputy Information and Publicity Secretary Lazarous Sichamba has urged relevant authorities to investigate the awarding of contracts under the 20% sub contracting.
Mr Sichamba tells Flava Fm News that it is worrying to hear reports that only a few individuals are benefiting from the projects while majority still remain with no works.
He has further noted with displeasure that only those connected to higher offices as well as supporters of the ruling party are getting the works easily while others remain sidelined.
Mr Sichamba notes that works under the 20% sub contracting threshold are meant fir all citizens and not only those aligned to the ruling party.
