Some motorists in Solwezi have raised concerns on government’s delays to begin the rehabilitation of township roads in the district as most of them have become impassable.

The motorists have told Flava Fm News that some roads have become deplorable and affecting their business as they are forced to change spare parts.

They have since appealed to relevant authorities to expedite the process of rehabilitating the roads to bituminous standards and ease movements.

The motorist wonder why government was so quick to rip of the Zambia Kimasala road when it was so clear that funds were not available for the project.

Meanwhile, Kimasala Ward Councillor Nephan Kamwandi has assured the motorists that the road is earmarked for tarring.

He says the contractor China Geo is expected to move on site fo9llowing revised variations on the Solwezi Chingola Road.

Mr Kamwandi has sympathised with motorists and other road users affected on the state of the road further asking them to exercise patience as efforts are being made to improve the state of the road.
