Three political parties file in nominations ahead of Lubwa Ward By-elections

Three Political Parties have successfully filed in nominations ahead of the forthcoming Lubwa Ward Local Government by election in Kwacha Constituency, Kitwe.
The Opposition National Democratic Party (NDC) was the first to file in at around 10:00hrs and were followed by the ruling Patriotic Front at 11:55hrs.
NDC candidate Jonathan Banda has pledged to work towards addressing issues of sanitation, security and health once voted into office.
Mr Banda said he is confident of winning the local government seat.
Meanwhile, Patriotic Front candidate Julius Kaunda said he will engage stakeholders in the district to help address issues of unplanned settlements.
Mr Kaunda said he will ensure all challenges faced by the people in the community are addressed should he be elected.
And UPND’s Brian Mwewa was the last to file nominations around 14hrs and was accompanied by UPND Deputy Secretary General Patrick Mucheleka and Copperbelt Province Chairman Elisha Matambo.
Mwewa said he will work towards addressing the poor road network.
The people of Lubwa Ward go to polls on 30th July, 2019 to elect a Councillor following the death of area Councillor Godfridah Chulu.
