A Catholic Priest in Kitwe has called on investigative wings to take serious and investigate alleged missing of over K 6 billion as reported by the Financial Intelligence Centre (FIC).
Speaking when he delivered a sermon during Mass at St Mbaaga Catholic Church in Kawama, Kitwe, Fr Elias Muma said the report should not be disputed but ensure investigations are carried out.
Fr Muma said suspicions that have to do with such huge sums of money should not be left to go without proper investigations by laws enforcers.
He stated that there is need to ensure those in habit of abusing public resources are held accountable for their actions.
The Financial Intelligence Centre report shows that as of 2018, K 6.1 billion had been stolen by scams and rackets which involved alleged politicians in the Patriotic Front.
