PF accuses food suppliers of mounting serious propaganda to undermine governments fight against corruption
Number of View: 111The Patriotic Front has implored Zambians to rally behind the governments efforts to rid the country of corruption at all levels.
Backing Home Affairs Minister Edgar Lungu’s warning to food suppliers to desist from attempts of bribery and corruption, PF Media and Publicity Director Chanda Mfula says corruption robs people of opportunities for better livelihoods.
Home Affairs Minister Edgar Lungu in a statement expressed disgust by the influx of suppliers frequenting his office asking him to influence contracts for them to supply to the ministry.
Mre. Lungu disclosed that some suppliers were asking him to influence payment of outstanding bills too.
Mfula therefore says food suppliers must take the warning seriously as it reflects the thinking and attitude of the PF government against corruption of any form.
He says the PF is aware of people who want to continue feeding off the corruption allegedly perpetrated by the MMD in the supply of goods and services during its reign alleging further that the said suppliers are mounting serious propaganda to undermine President Sata and the PF governments fight against corruption
Mfula has further urged Zambians to be wary of some political parties and organizations that are always quick to condemn pro-poor programs and decisions such as the upward revision of the minimum wage.
